Jonah

This is a triptych I created as part of an artistic expression of our pastor's series on Jonah. The sumi-washed background had an underwater quality about it that I accentuated with colored pencils and was perfect for the lettering of the first two chapters of the Jonah story. The three part work echoes the three days Jonah spent in the whale and culminates with the theme of the story - 'Salvation Comes from the Lord'.
